Debut: Ikkicon 2

Why Princess Ashe?:
Michael showed me the official art of Final Fantasy XII and said he wanted to cosplay Vaan and for me to cosplay Ashe. I think he just wanted me to wear a very short miniskirt, but I liked Ashe's strong character and I wanted to try making armor, so I decided to give this costume a shot.

Favorite Aspect:
My armor. Although it was my first time making armor, I was very impressed on how well it came out. I also like the unusual angled heels of my boots.

Extra Notes:
Every little detail in this costume created a problem at least once--it was that difficult! The clothing parts of Ashe look simple, but are tricky to sew to fit properly. The smallest tasks, such as adding the blue "lampshades" to the boots or cutting and weathering the armor, took 4 hours. For the armor, I used the Craft Foam Armor Tutorial for the basic recipe, though I added my own techniques to it. The whole costume wasn't very expensive to make, but it took a very long time. There were also plenty of reference picture inconsistencies, from hair color to jewel design, so I just picked whichever variation I liked best and combined everything.
