About JAC
JAC is a club in our local highschool, which began to boom in size starting about fall 2004. A few members in the club began an interest in cosplay after attending our first anime convention in Houston, Oni-con 1. Fandomism brought us together, and soon we began calling ourselves the JAC family.
One particular day, Juju, our mass movement fangirl, decided to get a skit together to perform with our in-the-works costumes. We complied, and at Kamikazecon, JAC Productions premiered with our first skit, Cup of Ramen.
Things probably would have kept going normally if torakiji, about to head into the film department, decided to make a video of said skit. Thus, through that work, we simply decided to keep making more for no apparent reason.
Seriously, no apparent reason.
The videos did not go online until about November 2005, AFTER the completion of taping 3 "movies." Along with the youtube boom, the rest is...kinda crazy. But life goes on.
At the start of 2007, JAC began to get busier and busier with school and wanting to do more costumes. JAC Productions began to not perform due to time and a lower mass group attendance at cons. In efforts to stop the questions, we decided to make an official "JAC Productions hiatus" announcement November 2007.
With that in mind, the JAC family is still making new cosplays, lurking in your artist alleys selling shiawase-chan's art, forcing dowxp to take random photos, and running through the dealer's rooms together. We only hope to catch people off their toes the next time they see us.
